Einstein award winners honored [1]

We have an update on an award program that PLOS has been involved in. The recipients of the Einstein Awards will be honored in Washington DC on September 12 following a panel discussion on research quality.

Paul Ginsparg, recipient of the Individual Award, representatives of the Center of Open Science (COS), recipient of the Institutional Award, and Jessica Kosie & Martin Zettersten, recipients of the Early Career Award, will be present for the ceremony. The winners of the individual award receive $200,000 Euros, while the ECR award winner receives $100,000 Euros.

The panel discussion is from 5 – 8 pm and if you want to attend in person, here is the registration link.

The panel is sponsored by the National Academy of Sciences, the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (German Research Foundation, DFG) and the Einstein Foundation Berlin. for the panel discussion “Research Funders and the Promotion of Quality in Research: From Principles to Practice.”

Ulrich Dirnagl, Director of the BIH QUEST Center & Head of the Department of Experimental Neurology, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, will host the discussion.
