Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the Democratic Party’s candidate for vice president, will campaign in he eastern half of Pennsylvania on Friday, making his first solo campaign visit as a VP candidate to the City of Brotherly Love

Walz has a political stop and a campaign reception planned in Philadelphia in the earlier half of the day. Following those appearances, he’s scheduled to travel to Allentown for another campaign engagement, before departing for Scranton for an evening rally.

“Pennsylvanians are going to resoundingly reject Tim Walz’s arm-flailing sales pitch for more incompetence and chaos when they overwhelmingly re-elect President Trump on November 5th,” Trump campaign spokesperson Kush Desai said in a statement Friday.

The Harris-Walz ticket also has events planned in western Pennsylvania on Friday. In Pittsburgh, U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg, former Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan, and former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld will be holding a campaign event. Buttigieg is also slated to appear at a canvass kickoff outside of Pittsburgh in Allegheny County.

Republican presidential candidate, former President Donald Trump’s campaign has a bus tour of surrogates wrapping up a week-long of events in central Pennsylvania on Friday. Trump will be rallying at the Bryce Jordan Center on Penn State’s campus on Saturday, while his running mate, U.S. Sen. JD Vance (R-OH), will be holding separate campaign events in Erie and Harrisburg.

Harris will be returning to the Keystone State on Sunday to campaign in Philadelphia. Polling continues to show the candidates in a close matchup for Pennsylvania’s 19 electoral votes, as national ratings outlets continue to consider the race a toss-up.
