Foreign trade turnover of goods in total and by countries in January 2018 [1]

Foreign trade turnover in January - July 2023 in exports at current prices amounted to PLN 944.8 bn, while in imports - PLN 907.0 bn. The positive balance reached the level of PLN 37.9 bn, while in the same period of 2022 year was negative and amounted to PLN 49.8 bn. In comparison to the corresponding period of last year exports increased by 4.4%, while imports decreased by 5.0%.

Exports expressed in USD amounted to 220.6 bn, while imports amounted to USD 211.7 bn (an increase in exports of 2.4% and decrease in imports of 6.8%). The positive balance reached the level of USD 8.9 bn, while in the same period of 2022 year was negative and amounted to USD 12.0 bn.

Exports expressed in EUR amounted to 204.2 bn, while imports amounted to EUR 196.0 bn (an increase in exports of 4.0% and decrease in imports of 5.4%). The positive balance reached EUR 8.2 bn, compared to a negative balance of EUR 10.8 bn in the same period of 2022.

Poland has the largest share in total exports with the developed countries – 86.7% (of which EU 75.0%) and in imports – 65.6% (of which EU 54.0%), in comparison with 87.9% (of which EU 76.5%) and 62.3% (of which EU 52.7%) in the corresponding period of 2022. However, the smallest share was observed with the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, which in total exports amounted to 4.9%, and in imports – 2.5%, in comparison with 4.3% and 7.6% in January - July 2022.
