NASA-ISRO Earth Satellite NISAR Is ‘Go’ for Launch

The NISAR satellite, jointly developed by NASA and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), is ready to launch atop ISRO’s Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle, pictured here on the launch pad at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre on India’s southeastern coast. ISRO

The NISAR (NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar) mission has been given a “go” for launch by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Mission and launch managers are counting down to the spacecraft’s launch from Satish Dhawan Space Centre on India’s southeastern coast aboard an ISRO Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle rocket.
