Launch Vehicle with Soyuz MS-20 manned spacecraft is installed on the launch pad
This morning the integrated launch vehicle Soyuz-2.1а with the manned transportation spacecraft Soyuz MS-20 was rolled out of the launch vehicle integration and test facility and erected on the launch pad of Site 31 of the Baikonur Cosmodrome.
According to the L-2 day schedule the launch teams began to perform processing operations on mating ILV service lines to the ground equipment to perform stand-alone tests of the spacecraft, launch vehicle and rocket and space complex systems and assemblies.
The launch of Soyuz 2.1а launch vehicle carrying Soyuz MS-20 to the International Space Station is scheduled for December 8, 2021. The 12-day flight to the ISS will be performed under a contract with Space Adventures. The commander of the prime crew is Roscosmos cosmonaut Alexander Misurkin, and flight participants to the prime crew are Yusaku Maezawa, President of the Start Today Corporation, and Yozo Hirano, his personal assistant. Their backups are Roscosmos cosmonaut Alexander Skvortsov and Shun Ogiso.
