Shoigu: 300,000 reservists to be drafted into army — Meduza [1]

Sergei Shoigu says 300,000 reservists will be called up in Russia as a result of the mobilization announced by Vladimir Putin.

According to head of the Defense Ministry, Russia has a mobilization base of almost 25 million people, but just over 1 percent are subject to this “partial mobilization.”

According to the Minister, only those who have served in the army, military professionals, and those with combat experience will be subject to this order.

Shoigu added that the mobilization of students and conscripts is out of the question.

Vladimir Putin announced that “partial mobilization” would take place in a pre-recorded speech on September 21, 2022.
