A chimney sweeper has claimed that business is booming amid the cost of living crisis as people are recommissioning fireplaces which have not been used for decades.

Simon Heyes, 43, a chimney sweep from Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, performs his job wearing traditional attire.

"In the last week, my phone hasn't stopped ringing," claimed Mr Heyes, who was born and brought up in the town.
