Idahoans are encouraged to attend an annual Hanukkah celebration at the Idaho Capitol building in Boise.

The event, which is free and open to the public, begins at 5 p.m. Monday in the Capitol’s rotunda, 700 W. Jefferson St., according to the Chabad Lubavitch of Idaho website.

The celebration will feature a menorah lighting ceremony, live music, school performances and refreshments. The Idaho Supports Israel Coalition will also have a display relating to the Oct. 7 Hamas terrorist attack and ongoing hostage situation, according to the website.

Idaho Gov. Brad Little and other local dignitaries plan to attend the ceremony, according to a calendar from the governor’s office.
