North Idaho water users could see rate increase soon. Here’s how to find out more. [1]

The Idaho Public Utilities Commission is hosting a virtual workshop Aug. 15 to share information about a possible increase in rates for Kootenai Heights Water System.

The Bonner County utility submitted an application to the utilities commission in March to increase its residential flat rate for its customers from $38.50 per month to $57.65 per month.

At the workshop, commission staff will present an overview of the utility’s application and answer any questions. The public can participate over the phone or online.

Here is how to attend the virtual workshop:

When: Tuesday, Aug. 15

Time: 5:30 p.m. Pacific daylight time

To participate over the phone, call 1-415-655-0001 and enter meeting number 2633 940 2402 when prompted.

To participate online, visit idahogov.webex.com and enter meeting number 2633 940 2402. Then, click on the green “Join” button. At the next window, enter the password: “TuesdayWorkshop.” Next, click on the green “Join Webinar” button, and at the next window enter your name, email address, and then click on the “Next” button. Finally, click on the green “Join Webinar” button.

The utilities commission is also accepting written comments until Sept. 20. Comments can be submitted by email to [email protected] and [email protected].

Comments can also be submitted on the commission’s website under the “case comment form” for case number KHW-W-23-01.
