En las primeras horas del 2 de mayo de 2025, el barco de ayuda humanitaria The Conscience, de la coalición Flotilla Libertad, fue atacado por drones en aguas internacionales cerca de Malta. Este ataque provocó daños significativos, un incendio y perjudicó al barco mientras viajaba desde Túnez hacia Gaza para entregar provisiones esenciales y protestar contra los ataques de Israel.

El grupo publicó unas palabras en redes sociales:

BREAKING: At 00:23 Maltese time, a #FreedomFlotilla ship was subjected to a drone attack. The front of the vessel was targeted twice, resulting in a fire and a breach in the hull.
