Cómo se apropia China de la desinformación antivacunas de Estados Unidos sobre COVID-19 [1]

En China continental se ha hecho viral un video muy editado en el que se comenta la investigación de la empresa farmacéutica estadounidense Pfizer sobre vacunas y medicamento para el COVID, producido por Project Veritas. Es un controvertido medio de extrema derecha que difunde desinformación y teorías conspirativas, con afirmaciones adicionales de que el virus COVID-19 fue mutado y propagado por justamente por la multinacional de biotecnología Pfizer.
Sin verificar el contenido, propagandistas y portavoces chinos citaron la fuente e instaron al Gobierno estadounidense a responder a la afirmación y revelar la «verdad».
El video viral es producción de una operación encubierta engañosa en la que se afirma que un investigador principal de Pfizer, presuntamente Jordan Tristan Walker, reveló que la empresa está estudiando mutar el COVID-19 para nuevas vacunas.
En el video, un hombre habla despreocupadamente en un bar después de que le preguntan si Pfizer está «pensando en última instancia en mutar el COVID»:
…one of the things we are exploring is like why don’t we just mutate it ourselves, so we could focus on, create, preemptively develop new vaccines, right? So, we have to do that. If we are gonna do that though, there’s a risk of like — as you could imagine no one wants to be having a pharma company mutating fucking viruses. You have to be like very controlled to make sure that this virus that you mutate does not create something like you know, goes everywhere. Which, I suspect is the way that virus started in Wuhan, to be honest. Like, it makes no sense that this virus popped out of nowhere…
