Día Mundial de los Océanos en fotos desde Trinidad y Tobago [1]

El Día Mundial de los Océanos fue designado oficialmente por Naciones Unidas en 2008 y se celebra anualmente el 8 de junio. La fecha pretende dar a conocer globalmente de la importancia de los océanos para la vida marina y la humana, y reclamar una mejor protección dentro del marco de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible de la ONU (ODS).
El objetivo nº 14 se centra en conservar y usar sosteniblemente nuestros océanos, mares y recursos marinos, ya que «contienen sistemas globales que hacen la Tierra habitable para la humanidad»:
Our rainwater, drinking water, weather, climate, coastlines, much of our food, and even the oxygen in the air we breathe, are all ultimately provided and regulated by the sea.
