Nu de ene na de andere stad in Libië door de rebellen wordt ingenomen, komt er steeds meer nieuws naar buiten. Het grootste nieuws was dat de voormalige nummer twee van Libië, Abdessalem Jalloud, het land heeft verlaten en met een Maltees vliegtuig via Tunesië naar Italië is gevlucht. Dit is bevestigd door een hoge Tunesische regeringsfunctionaris. Veel mensen zien het vertrek van Jalloud als een teken dat het einde van Kaddafi nabij is.
