La komunikada administracio de Turkio lanĉis novan kampanjon #helloTürkiye [#salutonTürkiye] la 14-an de januaro, klopodante “altigi la tutmondan konscion pri la uzado de la origina nomo de la lando”. En deklaro publikigita de la direktoro pri komunikado de la prezidenteco, Fahrettin Altun diris: “Ni opinias ke estas grave uzi la vorton “Türkiye” en la internacia areno por plua fortigo de la varmarko kaj de la reputacio de nia lando”. La nomŝanĝo sekvas prezidentan ordonon subskribitan la 4-an de decembro 2021 kaj postulantan la uzadon de “Türkiye” en ĉiuj korespondaĵoj kun aliaj ŝtatoj, internaciaj institucioj kaj organizaĵoj.
La ordono, eldonita en decembro, tekstas jene:
The phrase ‘Türkiye’ symbolises and conveys the Turkish nation’s culture, civilisation, and values in the best way possible. As part of this, the phrase ‘Made in Türkiye’ instead of ‘Made in Turkey’ began to be used in our export products; as a result, our products, which are the pride of our country in international trade, are promoted and presented to the rest of the world using the ‘Türkiye’ branding. Our aim is now to represent our state and nation’s thousands of years of experience in every sector under the ‘Türkiye’ brand.
