The Art Cycle [1]
['Kristen Lee']
Date: 2023-01-30 17:48:57+00:00
From brilliance to exhaustion, Kristen Lee takes us on a trip through the Art Cycle.
By Comics, Featured Comics
Transcript:
Most of the comic takes place in a dreamy thought bubble. The thought bubble opens with the steps of the art cycle:
Step Number One: “Get a great idea.” A blue bunny is “inspired” by an idea. They are happy and a lightbulb appears above their head.
Step Number Two: “Feel brilliant.” The bunny huffs while saying “I am unstoppable.”
Step Number Three: “Plan extensively.” With dark circles under their eyes, the bunny points to papers with red strings attached. They tiredly explain their plans to the viewer.
The thought bubble closes.
Step Number Four: The bunny is asleep on its desk, imagining the previous three steps in their head. Their hand is still holding their stylus. A box of paper from Papersource is under their table, their trash can overflows with crumpled up paper. They mumble “zzz must draw more zzz” as they drool. Their computer monitor says “Mmm Art Heart.”
