Voters on Saturday, May 3 decided who’ll sit on the board of trustees for the El Paso and Socorro independent school districts for the next four years, as well as the El Paso Community College board for the next six.
EPISD will see a shift in power with two incumbents losing their seats; while SISD voters returned one incumbent and elected three new trustees to the board. EPCC voters elected two incumbents to another term, with a newcomer also winning a seat on the board.
Voters in the towns of Anthony and Horizon City and the city of San Elizario on Saturday elected a handful of aldermen and mayors to their respective councils – several of them who were uncontested.
