Another toddler-centric day, after a medium-rough night (4 out of 10 on a scale of roughness) dealing with an occasionally squawking kid who passed out in a nest of blankets rather than be put to bed properly. Since wakeup it’s basically been a “duvet day” for the kid because the weather has been vile, and teething means that she’s feeling a little sad and in regular need of hugs.

The fix for WP Supercache Accept handling got pushed so hopefully this blog will soon start to behave itself on ActivityPub services, but it really looks like Mastodon servers are not enthusiastic about recovering either federation or old content after a webserver outage. As I posted on monday, it seems that ActivityPub is fragile which is not a good quality for something that is meant to replace large, centralised platforms.

Vexed about a delivery which failed to turn up, but hopefully more about that tomorrow, instead.
