My Idea I Submitted To Twitter: A Reply Button

2007-09-05 20:08:04+00:00

I sent the Twitter-folk:

A Really Simple Improvement To Your User Interface I had an idea. I’d like a small “reply” button next to every tweet, that pre-populates my “What am I doing” text-input box with “<at-symbol>USERNAME<space-or-colon>” – ie: the name of the person who wrote whatever tweet I clicked on. This will save on typos and bring a little standardisation to the reply syntax, and save on typing too. 🙂 (Please)

…and I got a reply:

Hi, Thanks for your email. That’s a great idea; I’ll share it with the team. We appreciate your feedback! Have a great day, Livvy

…which is nice.

If you think the idea is nice too, then maybe you could send Twitter a request and ask them to implement this idea, citing the URL of this posting to consolidate the request and explain the functionality?

Hugs all.
