These Are True Patriots [1]

I wouldn’t do it. Would you?

Do what?

Run for office in an overwhelmingly red district.

You don’t need a reminder why this takes tremendous courage in today’s climate.

And yet 27 Virginians have stepped up to make sure there’s a Democratic candidate in every district in the State. They are true patriots with interesting and varied backgrounds.

Here are some of them:

GenZ Candidates

Makayla Venable, running in HD 36 is 26.

Elaine Walters, running in HD 68 is 24.

Andrew Hartless, running in HD 37 is 22

Military Candidates

Eric Klotz, running in HD 39 was a Navy Seal.

Mario Hagerty, running in HD 67 was Lt. Commander in the Navy.

Shane Boswell, running HD 31 was a Chief Petty Officer in the Navy.

Scott Konosopek, running HD 59 was a Major in Military intelligence.

Law Enforcement Candidate

Angela Chainer, running in HD 56 was a police officer and as a consultant helped rebuild war torn regions like Bosnia, Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Haiti.

Medical Candidate

Jena Kreisler, running in HD 35 is a doctor specializing as hospitalist, providing in-facility care.

These are districts ranging from R +17 to R +68, so while winning is highly unlikely, they serve the critical goals of (a) Diverting the other side’s resources from competitive races; and (b) running up the totals for statewide races for Governor, Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General,

Thanks to you the amount available for these candidates has gone from $500 to over $82,000 in less than a month. That has enabled all of them to obtain the critical Voter Activation Network Lists and for some of them even billboards: See Two Billboards Outside of Martinsville, Virginia. Now that early voting has started it’s essential to help these candidates as much as possible.

The courage they have shown deserves to. be rewarded with enough funds for a basic campaign.
