It’s Friday. Chaos time!
Trump was in residence in Crazy Town yesterday, as he flew back from the UK. With nothing to do but blab to reporters, he went predictably bonkers, and (somewhat) unpredictably erased the First Amendment.
They’re probably going to rest him up before his big weekend of resting up, so they’ll keep him occupied with some more made-up “executive orders” before Big Fun Golfey-Golf Time!
One note on the government shutdown countdown: the House appears poised to pass a quick CR, drop it on the Senate’s lap, and then take off for home and a week-long recess. Which means they’ll have two days or so left before the deadline if the Senate wants any changes. And they always want changes!
