Don't Ignore The Signs [1]

Don’t ignore the warning signs.. I have a friend I went to high school with.. he was due for a colonoscopy and like most of us dreaded it and decided to skip it.. his wife made an appointment for it anyway.. reluctantly, he went thru with it and it turned out they caught cancer and surgery ensued.. he’s still alive..

Wednesday morning, BabyGrrl woke up with a pain in her lower right abdomen that wouldn’t resolve.. usual questions, do you have a fever, slight, nauseous, no.. do we need to go to ER, yes..

She was finally diagnosed with the obvious.. appendicitis.. except it was gangrenous appendicitis Gangrenous Appendicitis .. surgery and what we thought would be an overnight stay in the hospital turned into several days in the hospital for observation and antibiotics..

Bill in Portland tells about about Michael.. showing signs of appendicitis, Michael wanted to ’tough it out’ but Bill finally convinced to go.. Michael had a burst appendix..

Myself, I fell and bounced my head off the tile floor.. bled a bit and stopped a lot quicker than I expected because it was a head wound and I’m on blood thinner.. I thought about it for about 4 hours before I went to ER.. I’ve had a couple other head traumas and the concern was always for a brain bruise or a bleeding blood vessel because of the blood thinners.. my results were negative but I still went..

my point in all this is that we all have that tendency to want to be stoic and ‘power thru it’ but ignoring warning signs because you don’t have the time or it’s inconvenient is at your peril..
