3 ideas for LTEs [1]

We don’t need many copies of what I write going to various papers. Each person should think of his own LTE, On the other hand, here are a few central ideas from Annieli’s “Day 1,305.”
1) The Bloomberg analysis that said that the 18 months ending in July 2025 had gained Russia 1,05% of Ukraine’s space.
2) The Ukrainian drone attack on the Lukoil-Volgogradnefteperadota refinery, which (temporarily) shut down 5.6% of Russia’s oil-refining capacity. (If you use this, copy the name from the earlier post; I copied it twice, and I can’t guarantee the spelling)
3) Ukraine’s joint venture with Poland to develop anti-drone systems.
Number 3 shows that Russian tactics of trying to frighten Europe from resisting them is — instead — warning Europe into resisting them. With 5 countries each having a larger GDP than Russia, the EU can afford to spend as much on weapons as Russia does spend without being able to afford ir.
A LTE should be written around one idea. That idea can contrast two or three facts. At the rate of Russia increasing its occupation of 1.05% of Ukrainian land in a year and a half, they will gain 5.25% in seven and a half years. Ukraine disables 5.6% of Russian oil refining capacity in one night. Which will finish first?
