Let's Get Our Definitions Right on the Right [1]

When I was in high school, I learned that various political positions had names. Here’s a quick review:

Liberal One who wants to change the status quo.

Conservative One who would preserve the current status quo.

Reactionary One who would return us to a previous status quo.

Radical One who is willing to use violence to achieve their goals.

These definitions perhaps over simplify things, but they do provide a decent framework for discussion.

Currently, the country has very, very few conservatives. Mostly on the right we have reactionaries with a large dose of reactionary radicals.

Please stop calling reactionaries and reactionary radicals conservative. Call them what they are.
