The USA can feed the world. Here's why we do not. [1]

Here in the USA, we have enough food so that no one in the entire world need die from malnutrition. Feeding the world, even if none paid us for all that food, would strengthen our economy and improve the standard of living for everyone here in the USA and in the entire world.
We have nothing to lose by feeding the hungry here at home and abroad. Whatever it costs us to do so will be of no consequence; the benefits shared by the world from helping people to stay alive will greatly those costs.
Why do we not do so?
Three Reasons:
One
Acting with generosity and kindness is antithetical to Republican policies of rewarding the Rich for their wealth and punishing the Poor for their poverty.
Two
President Trump believes giving anything away without getting anything in return is wrong.
Three
Trump enjoys being cruel. He delights in hurting people. Letting people starve here at home and abroad strengthens his fragile ego.
