This week I'll discuss the Tens of the tarot minor arcana.
The Tens of the Tarot del Toro deck.
The Tens of the minor arcana represent the conclusion of a cycle; the harvest has come in, the final results arrive. Whether those results are joyful or devastating, by their very finality they signal an ending, and put the querent on notice that a new chapter in their life is around the corner. A chance to shift gears, move forward, and grow in new ways. A time to finally lay down the burdens and struggles you've carried, to rest and reflect awhile before starting over.

The Ten of Pentacles represents financial security and prosperity. With money worries no longer so prominent in their mind, the querent is in a position to enjoy a comfortable life, and to share of their abundance with loved ones, friends, and causes they support. Large purchases may be imminent, or expansion of existing businesses and investments. Exactly how large will depend on the querent and their personal definition of what constitutes wealth and abundance.
Reversed, this card can warn of the possibility of significant losses or heavy unanticipated expenses. The querent may need to sell some property or drastically restructure their finances.

The Ten of Swords indicates the final, definite end of something. Whether a relationship, a business, or something else, chances are that the querent is already aware of the looming failure or defeat. It may in fact have already occurred. Surrounding cards can clarify the nature of the circumstance that is collapsing. For many people this is one of the most difficult, challenging, and scary cards they can get in a reading. The good news is, the uncertainty is over. Whatever it is, it's done.
Reversed, this card can indicate that the very worst of this experience is already past. Having lived through the terrible defeat or loss, the querent will be in a position to learn from the experience, recover their strength and equilibrium, and eventually move on.

The Ten of Wands or Rods is something I'm feeling myself these days. This card represents a heavy burden of stress, fear, anxiety, hate, obligation... any of a plethora of things that, over time, can really wear a person down and ruin mental and physical health. Much of the time the stressors are not things that the querent can do much to help; problems they didn't create, can't control, yet feel personally responsible for. The querent may believe they have everything in hand, that they're coping. The message of this card is to stop for a moment, really think about those burdens, examine exactly why you continue to bear them, and consider less damaging ways to deal with things before they end up forcing you to.
Reversed, this card is a stark message that the time to let go is right now. The consequences of continuing as you have been are simply too great to ignore.

The Ten of Cups is a genuinely happy card (finally!) Love, happiness, wishes fulfilled and dreams come true. The querent achieves whatever it is that they longed for and worked towards, and now gets to enjoy it for a while. Congratulations and high-five, querent! You made it at last. I am happy for you!
In the reverse position this card indicates that the potential for real happiness and contentment exists, but some snag or issue is interfering with it. Unless these are recognized and dealt with constructively that potential joy can end up a near miss.
