The Governor of Utah, a Sucker for GOP-indoctrinating right wing tropes [1]

Utah’s governor continued his homicidal ‘othering’ in the aftermath of the Charlie Kirk killing.
Gender-affirming transition is not homicidal and implying it by association is defamatory. Governor Cox hasn’t walked back comments regarding the shooter’s roommate’s sexuality or gender expression, while continuing the disinforming, media-framing of “left Ideology”, sucking up to the dominant Trump messaging.
There is a dominant gamer message of the spare rounds’ cases and the dominant Groyper context for killing Charlie Kirk. The Utah Governor, like other conservatives, is Groyper adjacent and a sucker for RWNJ discourse.
https://t.co/2w4nX1Mvfh During the presser, Utah Governor Spencer Cox was asked about the significance of the inscriptions on the shell castings, as they might suggest a motive. Cox said he couldn’t speak to all of them, but did say that “Hey fascist! Catch!” seems to speak for itself, adding that the implication is that Robinson’s intention was for Kirk to catch his bullet. Cox took “Hey fascist! Catch!” out of its video-gaming context, first because he probably was not aware of it, but second, because that fits the narrative that he and others on the right want to tell – that political violence is coming solely from “the left” and that, as Meghan McCain said, anyone who has been critical of Charlie Kirk “glorifies death,” thus justifying the president’s abuses of power to stop them. But if you put “Hey fascist! Catch!” (and the other inscriptions) in their proper context of Extremely Online culture, a different picture emerges, one where the right is so focused on alleged enemies they’re missing what’s happening among their own, and it’s here that I must beg your pardon if I’m introducing you for the first time to groypers. In a nutshell, groypers are hardcore, unrepentant racists. They hate everyone, openly and without reservation. (They are also weird about sex and women. They overlap with “incels.”) They are decentralized and diffuse, but Nick Fuentes, the white supremacist podcaster, speaks for them. Fuentes didn’t like Charlie Kirk. For instance, he thought Kirk was too soft on Israel, which is to say, he wasn’t antisemitic enough.

Kirk’s false mythology will be carried forward by young people who grew up on his rhetoric, emboldened by a president who thrives on division, writes John Casey. Watching the press conference Friday when — thankfully — Charlie Kirk’s alleged killer was captured, Utah Gov. Spencer Cox , trying to come off like the voice of reason, said he’d been “angered” and “sad” the last few days but was comforted by Charlie Kirk’s own words . Governor, I admire your conviction to try to lower the temperature. I agree with you and admire you for using your voice, your words, but you're wrong when you say words are just words. They are not. Because why are people who question Kirk's words on social media being punished by those on the right for utilizing free-speech with their words? ... And yet, here’s the irony, In death, Kirk may wield more influence than in life. To many of his followers, he is becoming a martyr, a prophet, someone whose words were so powerful. Those of us who actually believe in peace, justice, and inclusion must not be shamed into silence. Speaking out against Kirk’s words is not an endorsement of violence; it is a refusal to let hate go unchallenged. Sure, we can “turn the other cheek,” but not over and over and over again. Kirk’s false mythology will be carried forward by young people who grew up on his rhetoric, emboldened by a president who thrives on division and promises vengeance as policy. The danger is that this next generation will inherit Kirk’s talking points. www.advocate.com/... x — Mueller, She Wrote (@muellershewrote.com) 2025-09-14T20:01:42.491Z

What Laura Loomer is doing is performative overcompensation out of guilt. She knows what she posted. She knows that she may have triggered the Groyper army & perhaps, indirectly had a hand in Kirk’s death. This is what she deleted. She’s only going after random folks to distract
