New Day Cafe: Southern Decadence, Part II (The Parade) [1]

Good morning, Newdists! This is the second (and final) diary showcasing photos the BF and I took at Southern Decadence this year. In the first part, I wrote about all the amazing food we ate in New Orleans. In this diary, the BF’s (much more professional) photos will take the spotlight, since he took so many great photos of the parade.
I’ve been to plenty of Pride parades, but there’s just nothing like a Southern Decadence parade. As good as the shots are, they can’t really capture the atmosphere. The feeling of warmth and acceptance is almost overwhelming. It’s just pure happiness. That is, unless you’re a photographer and some random lady is blocking your shots.

This is going to be more of a photo dump, since I don’t have too much more to say about these pics! But I think these offer a good sampling of the beautiful people who took part in this year’s parade. In these dark times, hopefully these will offer a bit of light—I know they do for me!
