Rough Waters ahead - Let's Keep our Eyes on the Prize [1]

Democrats have been gaining momentum. But like it or not, this week is a setback. Our opponents are deeply angry, and even reasonable people I know are vowing to fight liberalism and extinguish our efforts FOREVER. Our opponents are more convinced than ever that theirs is a righteous religious crusade.
We should not underestimate the gut punches / backlash coming our way and the challenges ahead. We are up against powerful media and internet forces. So, I feel we need to immediately pivot our strategy and messaging.
Please do not insult or demean our opponents. We will win no friends or new voters with trash talking. Stick to issue discussions as they arise -- the economy, Epstein, foreign affairs, your local issues. Until the national mood improves we must demonstrate calm, confident leadership.
Trump and his flunkies will continue saying and doing stupid things. Let them. Work on achievable gains.
Save your opinions for safe spaces and trusted friends. Here in Florida, employers and public agencies are already combing through employees' personal social media. If you post on social media under your real name, be discreet.
No misunderstanding here -- we are NOT going away, NOT caving. We are fierce; just as determined as ever. But we must adapt to this new environment and BE SMART AND SENSIBLE. Support each other, look after friends and family. Let's keep moving forward.
