ArtKos: Saturday Painting Palooza Vol.1048 Experimental Edition [1]

Hello again painting fans.

This week I will be continuing with the painting of Bleak House, Newport, Rhode Island. The archival photo that I'm using is seen directly below.

I'll be using my usual acrylic paints on a 5x7 inch canvas panel.

When last seen the painting appeared as it does in the photo seen directly below.

Since that time, I have continued to work on the painting.

I have worked toward the experimental part. I'm attempting to show distance by fading the house. The first time I had heard of aerial perspective was in my college art history course. (That was circa AD 1902.) We'll see how it goes.

The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.

I'll have more progress to show you next week. See you then.
