Russian stuff blowing up: Ukraine strikes Russian oil terminal at St. Petersburg [1]

Ukraine launched a large-scale drone attack across Russia last night, hitting oil-export targets in St. Petersburg and shutting it down at least temporarily. The Primorsk terminal at St. Petersburg handles about 60 million tons of oil a year.

One of Russia’s shadow tanker fleet was struck at the St. Petersburg terminal and an oil spill was reported.The oil terminal at Ust-Luga to the west of St. Petersburg was also hit.

The Kardimovo oil station in Smolensk was hit again. It was pretty well destroyed after a strike in April 2024.
Russia is claiming that Ukraine actually hit the nuclear power plant in Smolensk.

A bloody asshole." 4/ Ukol says that he had only recently completed his conscript service when he was mobilised at the age of 20 in September 2022. 5/ "They lined us up on the parade ground, a couple of the mobilised battalions that were assembled at that time, and announced: "You have two weeks in which you can become whoever you want." I was eager to become a medical orderly, without having the appropriate education. 6/ "And while the rest were drinking until they squealed like pigs, I was studying in a group of medical orderlies under the guidance of competent comrades from the Special Operations Forces. This training helped me a lot later." 7/ The mobilisation followed Russia's recent massive defeat and huge losses in the Kharkiv region, leaving the mobiks with mixed feelings of terror and euphoria. They consoled themselves with large quantities of alcohol as they waited to be sent to Ukraine. 8/ "On the one hand, there was the wildest drinking, to the point of being outrageous ... On the other hand, the guys were yelling that the end was coming for the Ukrainians, that this war was like a new Chechen war, and we would cut off the ears of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. 9/ "I immediately began acting as a medic. Ukraine says its has decapitated the Russian command in the Donetsk region that had been gathering reinforcements for a new push on Pokrovsk.
By launching a massive wave of coordinated strikes, the Ukrainian forces crippled three major command posts, eliminated dozens of high-ranking officers, completely beheading and halting the Russian offensive. Currently, Russian forces are undergoing a massive redeployment to reinforce and intensify the offensive towards Pokrovsk, while sacrificing several of their other offensives in the process. Ukrainian intelligence, however, left no movement unnoticed and tracked almost every Russian convoy. From hacked traffic cameras in the Russian rear, partisans reporting on troop trains, to deep reconnaissance by drones, Ukraine followed enemy columns across roads and tree lines.

One of the most disturbing developments in Russia in the last few years has been its program to militarize children.
