Russia resurrects a Potemkin battleship [1]

Russia has decided to refurbish & refloat the Kirov-class nuclear-powered battlecruiser Admiral Nakhimov, which last sailed the seas some time around the birth of Christ. This utter relic of the Cold War was mothballed and put into dry dock in the late 1990s, but now the Russians, in their ludicrous quest to show the world that they still matter and should be feared, have decided to give it the ship the full Potemkin treatment and created a zombie boat which will have the Ukrainians smacking their lips in eager anticipation.

The mlitary tech & hardware commentator Wes O’Donnell, normally rational & sensible in his approach as he recognises that even a paperknife wielded by someone who knows what they’re doing can cause damage, spared no quarter on this one and gave it both barrels in a highly amusing take-down that only rings true the Ukrainian refrain that luckily the Russians really really really are completely & utterly fucking stupid.
