Thursday GNR: "Strongmen" are Fatally Weak [1]

Back to my usual sources and format today, but with new features. 1st, news from the world’s hottest spots and the weakest strongmen. Today that means the revolution in Nepal, fatal perfidy in Israel, and Russian drones flying over Poland and getting shot down. 2nd, Protest Watch, with some of the latest announcements and where to find out about more of them.
World
Nepal
This is to say, 48 hours since the government set everything off with attempted curbs on social media, on top of monstrous corruption and oppression.
x Protestors in Nepal overthrew the government in less than 48 hours due to corruption. They refused a curfew, spread protests across all cities, fought police in roaming street battles, burnt down politicians' houses, stole military weapons, stormed the parliament & burnt it, forced the PM to resign.

Nepal’s young protesters, army in talks to decide interim leader
Now we all want to know who is going to call for elections. I don’t know. The Nepalese don’t know. Maybe that interim leader. We’ll have to just wait for it.
Israel
Kill the negotiators while you pretend to negotiate a peace deal. Almost Trumpian.

Russia vs. NATO
NATO treaty Article 4 calls for formal consultations among all members. The Russian drones that entered Polish air space from Belarus didn’t shoot at anything. That could have provoked Article 5, full-on defense of Poland by all of NATO.

Sun Day
Sunday Sept. 21 is the equinox.
The clean energy revolution is here. Solar, wind and batteries are the cheapest form of power on the planet, lowering costs, creating new jobs, and strengthening our communities. But some politicians and industries are trying to hold it back. On Sep 21, we’ll celebrate the progress we’ve made and push for more. We’ll install new solar, host e-bike parades, give heat pump tours, and rally for change. Together, we’ll make the sun rise on our clean energy future.
You can attend an event, or you can work on something to do with renewable energy. I will participate one way or another. Multiple ways, really.

On October 18, we take back to the streets nationwide to signal, loudly, that the Trump regime is currently engaging in a military occupation of free American cities. Speaker Johnson's words yesterday demonstrate a fundamental misunderstanding of the law: “Yield, man! Let the troops come into your city and show how crime can be reduced. It’s a morale boost for the country, and it’s safe and right for everybody involved.” In my opinion, Speaker Johnson's choice of words betrays that he is thinking of Trump's actions as a military invasion.

One such object, PSR J2322-2650b, uniquely resembles a hot Jupiter exoplanet due to its minimum density of 1.8 g/cm^3 and its ~1900 K equilibrium temperature. We use JWST to observe its emission spectrum across an entire orbit. In stark contrast to every known exoplanet orbiting a main-sequence star, we find an atmosphere rich in molecular carbon (C3, C2) with strong westward winds. Our observations open up a new exoplanetary chemical regime (ultra-high C/O and C/N ratios of >100 and >10,000 respectively) and dynamical regime (ultra-fast rotation with external irradiation) to observational study. The extreme carbon enrichment poses a severe challenge to the current understanding of "black widow" companions, which were expected to consist of a wider range of elements due to their origins as stripped stellar cores.
