I had a thought last night about a way to express ourselves when we are disgusted with things republicans are saying. I am not sure if it came to me in a dream, or when I was half-awake but it stuck with me. It came to me in the context of the shooting in Utah but could be applied to any of the vile things they say:
You wouldn't catch Democrats saying that if it takes a few lives lost to protect our second amendment, it's worth it.
I am curious how republicans would respond to that. I would also like to ask them, was it worth it?
As far as the shooting in Utah, there is a Latin phrase I can't remember that translated is, don't speak ill of the dead. So, in his case, there is nothing to say. I feel sorry for his wife and kids, and I hope they catch the perpetrator, prosecute them, find them guilty, and punish them to the fullest extent of the law.
