The “run in every district strategy” works. And this year we will see its power in Virginia, where for the first time, Democrats have a candidate in all 100 districts, including the 27 reddest ones in the state.
The VA Democratic Party will not fund these races, but Daily Kos and others have stepped up and enabled these candidates to have basic campaigns.
On August 27, $500 had been raised for these candidates. That day you responded with $1,000 after my first story on this. By September 2, you and others raised the total to $15,000. By September 5, it reached $22,000. By the next day it neared $26,000. By Sunday it was $28,000. And today it has reached $46,000, with support from over 200 donors, including 5 of Va.’s 72 Dem elected legislators. Charles Gaba has helped immeasurably by setting up the Virginia Value Pack 27, making it easy to contribute to all the candidates.
We are way ahead of the State Democratic party in recognizing the return on investment of contributions to all one hundred districts.
So be a part of something amazing and contribute what you can afford. For those Kossacks fortunate enough to be able to contribute more, please consider a four figure contribution.
