Sky Above Earth. [1]

This week I want to share some recent pictures I've taken around my home.
I've mentioned before that whenever I go outdoors the first thing I do is look up at the sky. It's been my habit as long as I can remember. These are pictures from the past couple months.
Dawn, looking east down my driveway towards the guest house.
A brilliant monsoon sunset. It had rained here earlier.
Sometimes the most colorful sunset views are seen looking eastward.
Looking east at sunset, the view from my little balcony outside my bedroom.
What I call a cloud bird. This one reminded me of the swallows that nest under the bridge down by the river.
For some reason I've noticed a lot of cloud birds this summer.
This one reminded me of a hawk. A real hawk is visible in the upper center. Mingus Mountain is in the background.
The real hawk that flew across the cloud hawk.
Another cloud bird seen in the northern sky.
Silver and turquoise like my jewelry box spread across the sky.
A drenching monsoon cloudburst.
When you're at a beach or in a forest you can get the sense that they're singing to us. The rythyms of the surf, of the wind in the trees, are a song.
Sunrise last Saturday, looking northeast down my driveway.
The sky also sings to us.
Also early last Saturday, looking northwest.
Sunset last Saturday after a day of rain.
The phrase "Sky above Earth" is the second line of The Morrigan's Peace Prophecy.
Sometimes I can feel better about life on this Earth by looking towards the sky.
Yesterday, at dusk. A peaceful end to a troubling day.
Thank you for reading. This is an open thread.
