Ignoble Peace Prize [1]

Donald Trump hungers for the Nobel Peace Prize. He says he has stopped six, or is it seven, wars? I’ve lost count. And the Russia-Ukraine war is only two weeks away from a final resolution, right? Of course, none of these wars have any kind of signed peace treaty. So, I don’t see a realistic chance that he could get the prize based on results to date.

But the main impediment for him is the division and fear that he stokes at home. If he were a true peace maker, he would be trying to unify the country. Instead, he sends troops into cities. He would be trying to cut deals between Republicans and Democrats. Instead, every time moderates in Congress get close to passing bipartisan legislation, he threatens to primary his minions.

Then, of course, there’s the Department of War. Need I say more? Bone Spurs won’t get my vote for the Nobel Peace Prize.
