Why Impeaching, Convicting and Removing Felon 47 Would be an Act of Patriotism [1]

Howdy folks. It’s been a long time since I’ve posted a diary here though I check the site daily, if not a few times a day. I’m rusty at this but I thought I’d give my story a try.

At this point in time, I believe it should be considered an ACT of PATRIOTISM to impeach, convict and remove Trump.

The Felon’s reckless unnecessary policies are tanking the economy. Don't take it from me. Editors at the Wall Street Journal claim Trump brought the jobs market to its knees. In 2024, Trump promised to bring down prices. As we know, the opposite has happened. All of us see the price increases in our daily lives, especially in the grocery stores. There are fewer jobs now, too. Higher prices, fewer jobs. This is not a good outcome. Ironically, much of the job growth is in places that depend on govt. spending, i.e. the healthcare industry and social services, all of which Trump is trying to bring to their collective knees.

Republican silence endorses tanking the US economy.

On the international front, Trump is Putin's patsy. The authoritarian ruler who has his political opponents killed, knows how to play the narcissistic convicted felon. Trump's foreign policy agenda is a danger to our national security, according to the experts. Our European Allies mock Trump for his ignorance and arrogance. Putin and Xi and Modi are buddies now thanks to the clown in the White House.

Republican silence supports Trump's dangerous incompetence.

Here at home, Trump has unleashed masked ICE goons in blue cities with black mayors. These unidentified men are snatching immigrants off the streets, out of their homes, from their jobs, locking them up, deporting them w/o any due process. Federal judges have ruled these deportations as unlawful. Trump's Secretary, Cruella ICE Barbie could care less about the legality of her Department's actions. Trump appointees believe they are above all laws, apparently.

Republican silence endorses fascism.

And once again, Trump is trying to kill us, just as he did during the outbreak of Covid19, assuring us that it would disappear in the spring. When it didn't "go away," he suggested we inject ourselves with bleach. Then it was some kind of horse medicine nonsense. Don't be surprised if the next recommended remedy is cat pee.

So, in order to get rid of us again, Trump appointed an absolutely insane anti-vaxxer to lead the Dept. of HHS. The squawking quack has neither a MD or Ph.D behind his name. It is obvious that RFK, Jr. is determined to make it impossible for most of us to obtain vaccines. He prefers conspiracy theories and voodoo quackery over science and medicine. People will die thanks to RFK's appalling incompetence. We no longer have a Dr. Fauci to inject a modicum of reason and science into the public sphere. RFK Jr. fired the experts or many resigned b/c his policies are so out of touch with science and medicine. Introducing RFK, Jr., Secretary Voodoo Witch Doctor.

Republicans continue to promote anti-science conspiracy theories and death.

Meanwhile, Trump the Thug continues to bully and intimidate Epstein's sexual abuse survivors. He hardly screams his innocence by flying military aircraft over the site of the press conference in order to silence the survivors. When the flyover did not stop the women from sharing their horror stories, Trump told Republicans it would be a "hostile act" for them to sign the discharge form to release the Epstein files to Congress. Obviously things have become so recently insane that House Speaker Johnson claims Trump was an FBI informant to take down Epstein.

I don't know who on the earth would believe that desperate lunacy. Other than Secretary Voodoo Witch Doctor and Secretary Cruella ICE Barbie. Not to mention the drunk and rapist at the Department of "War. " Trump's finest.

Republicans protect rapists, child sexual predators and perverts.

And as if this all isn't enough (and I'm sure I missed a few things) Trump recently blew up a Venezuelan alleged "drug boat." It seems to me that Trump the Thug is itching to start a war with a country so he can impose martial law on us. And then he can rule like Putin who will be more than happy to give him a few pointers.

Republicans support anti-American authoritarianism.

Trump should have been impeached for his illegal acts already. Hell, he should have never been elected in the first place as a convicted felon. But because Republicans refused to impeach him after January 6, 2021, insisting the courts would take care of him, I wonder how many recognized that Trump already knew how to beat the courts? Appeal. Delay. Run out the clock.

Personally, I never vote for Republicans. I have always thought they were too pro business and have always catered more to the needs of the wealthy. And that was during a time when Republican moderates existed.

I am a registered Democrat. I admire FDR’s New Deal and LBJ (Civil Rights Act, not the Vietnam War). And President Obama for his Affordable Care Act.

Now, given Trump, for the rest of my life, I will consider the GOP as the Party of Cowards, Misogynists, Guns and Traitors. If we go down as a country, thank each and every Republican from the national to the state to the local levels.

When asked what happened to the GOP on MSBNC's Weekend today, former Republican political operative, Stuart Stevens said "somewhere along the way we have become weak and compliant."

No flipping kidding. Thanks to the former GOP, now known as MAGA fascism, we are now in the middle of an authoritarian takeover of our government.
