Is This the Beginning of the End for Trump?
From domestic policy to the economy to foreign policy, things have started to go south, and Trump’s star is fading. “Trump fatigue” is setting in, and guess who is its first victim? That’s right, Donald John Trump. But will it end with a bang or a whimper?
The more troublesome the political and policy environment for Trump, the more his Fascistic tendencies come to the fore. Occupying Washington, DC wasn’t enough for him; now, it’s Chicago’s turn. Under the guise of fighting global crime and narco-trafficking, is Venezuela about to get a “friendly visit” from the Department of War? From ignoring the rule of law and stretching legal limits just to prove he could do something never even attempted by his predecessors, Trump has gotten away with murder.
How long will the country tolerate such extra-constitutional and criminal behavior?
Democratic Governors like Gavin Newsom (D-CA) and JB Pritzker (D-IL) openly mock and belittle Trump. Authoritarian global leaders like Russia’s Vladimir Putin, China’s Xi Jinping, India’s Narendra Modi, and North Korea’s Kim Jong Un don’t think much of Trump either; in fact, they view him as an unserious person unworthy of their attention.
Somewhere, I think “Dandy” Don Meredith has seen the future and is singing, “Turn out the lights, the party’s over.”
