Something To Consider About Why Obama And Biden DOJ Did Not Release The Epstein Files. [1]

Trump is doing everything in his power to avoid opening up the Epstein case files for public scrunity. The obvious answer why Trump is thrashing around when asked about keeping his promise to release the files is that Trump raped at least one of Epstein’s victims. And that incident is mentioned in the case files. To avoid this disclosure to the public, Trump is now claiming this is all a “Democrat Hoax.” And Trump is accusing the Obama and Biden DOJ of cooking this whole mess up.

I have to admit I was wondering why the Obama and Biden DOJ never bothered to address the corrupt bargain that was made with Epstein by then Bush DOJ official and U.S. Miami District Attorney Alex Acosta. But it appears Andrew Weissman has a possible explanation for why the U.S. government never addressed this egregious sweetheart deal for a pedophile. Weissman was addressing another issue when he stated that U.S. district attorneys do not always tell the higher ups at the DOJ about every aspect of a plea deal or even a successful prosection.

Put simply, U.S. prosecutors do not share everything with their bosses in D.C. to avoid possible political interference in a case.

As a government employee, I can see this makes some sense. In fact in my experience, the higher ups don’t want to hear much from the grunts in the trenches. The attitude is one of, “You solve this problem.” And once a problem is “fixed” or really buried, upper management is satisfied.

And frankly given the attitudes of both people like Eric Holder under Obama and Merrick Garland under Biden to not want to rock any political boats, it’s easy to believe that neither ever heard or cared to dig up a closed case. Remember, no one on Wall Street ever went to prison for the financial crisis of 2008 because Holder didn’t want to “disrupt” the economy. And Garland was doing everything in his power to make sure that his precious DOJ remained “apolitical.”

Reopening the Epstein case would have seem a political act by Garland, so no way was that gong to happen under his watch. Besides, Epstein was dead and Maxwell was in prison. Case closed.

So if there was a grand Democratic conspiracy to destroy Trump with the Epstein files, it was killed by government inertia and by upper managment wanting to focus on other so called issues. To my mind, I think going after others in the sex trafficking ring that Epstein set up was important. But some of that evidence was kept from the likes of Holder and Garland because of a corrupt prosecutor like Alex Acosta and others didn’t want any interference in the case.

It’s also why the House committee “investigating” the Epstein case is not a serious one. Alex Acosta and the other prosecutors involved in the Epstein case all need to testify in public. Otherwise, this is just a show to protect Trump.

NOTE: I don’t have the clip of Weissman’s appearance on MSNBC yet where he stated this practice of federal prosecutors of not providing all evidence to the upper management at DOJ.
