Guarding the Union Station Food Court
I took a walk this past week in our nation’s capitol to see first-hand how our troops are safe-guarding this hell hole of a city, at least the National Mall part of it. Last count, there are 2200 National Guard troops deployed to the District.
My walk started at Union station, looped around the Capitol, through the Dwight Eisenhower Memorial (there is one!), past the Washington Monument, and ended at the Lincoln Memorial. I counted 22 soldiers, in camouflage and armed, or 0.1% of the total deployed.
No sign of military vehicles or ICE agents. Saw some Canadian Geese, most likely without proper documents.
Here are some of the Pics. Hope you enjoy.
Trumps Newest Executive Order
Nobody is stealing the Washington Monument on their watch!
Et tu? Smokey?
No action at the World War II memorial.
This is the bus they rode in on...literally. An unmarked school bus.
Nothing happening at the African American Museum
Three soldiers in front of Lincoln. Suspicious character with a cell phone, but otherwise calm.
