I just came across this tweet on Twitter by Lawrence Tribe:
If you vote for Donald Trump — or don’t vote at all — you’re giving total power to a man who will treat you as a sucker and a loser every time you do what every religious and moral tradition says you must: give of yourself to benefit others. Face that truth before it’s too late.
Yesterday (five years later), I posted this on my FB page as a follow-up:
This is what I posted here FIVE years ago, and I still remember many friends, extended family and schoolmates were so outraged at me for this post.
I know that many have now realized how evil and dangerously incompetent the Orange buffoon’s dictatorship is the antithesis of our founding father’s efforts to create and perpetuate our American democracy.
Side note - prior to November 24, 2015, I was mildly aware that Mr., Trump was campaigning for the Presidency. At that time I didn't know much him other reports of multiple bankruptcies and numerous claims by others that they never got paid for their services, etc.
When I first saw conflicting reports of him mocking a respected reporter, I knew I had to look deeper into this incident.
As I did so, I realized this individual was completely and totally unfit to be in any public service at any level.
This pivotal incident from ten years ago made it very clear to me never to support such a damaged individual. My biggest regret, was and still is, that I was not articulate enough to get this across to others.
I suspect that many others may have had a similar experience where a particular verified news report or something similar that happened regarding Mr. Trump over the past years that became a pivotal point in deciding not to support him and any of today’s MAGA Republican political leadership.
Please join me in letting others know when and what prompted your decision to fight Mr. Trump and his sycophants by sharing your stories here.
