The end of a very frustrating week, so this will be a cache of odds and ends, first:
A gentle reminder of how we do things: š±š¶š¦
Do not troll the diary. If you hate pootie diaries, leave now. No harm, no foul.
Please do share pics of your fur kids! If you have health/behavior issues with your pets, feel free to bring it to the community.
Pooties are cats; Woozles are dogs. Birds... are birds! Peeps are people.
Whatever happens in the outer blog STAYS in the outer blog. If youāre having āissuesā with another Kossack, keep it āout there.ā This is a place to relax and play; please treat it accordingly.
There are some pics we never post: snakes, creepy crawlies, any and all photos that depict or encourage human cruelty toward animals. These are considered āout of boundsā and will not be tolerated. If we alert you to it, please remember that we do have phobic peeps who react strongly to them. If you keep posting banned pics...well then...the Tigress will have to take matters in hand. Or, paw.
And so Labor Day is over and now begins the unofficial end of summer, take the insight from Yahoo, that states this better than Iā¦.
āMonday, Sept. 1, marked the start of Meteorological Fall. Yes, the astronomical summer season continues until the Fall Equinox, which falls on Sept. 22 this year. Yet, the meteorological fall months of September, October, and November better represent what the time of year feels like.ā
The photo at least cheers me a littleā¦.
Noted as I was driving around yesterday: foliage is showing more signs of autumn, leaves have a little more color in them, my spindle tree is beginning to shed some leaves mostly pale yellow in colorā¦.
The Phlox in the front garden has been floweringā¦
ā¦no, this isnāt Phlox, yet the flowers are a pleasant deep purpleā¦
ā¦and my purple Hosta (s) are about to bloom, may have a bumper crop this year.
The native North American golden rod has begun to bloom along the driveway; never planted any ā just showed up one year...
Noticed the other day that leaves are beginning to fall into the curbs of the house across the street, always the first tree to shed leaves on my cornerā¦.
Best of all, the Sweet Jasmine, trained to grow across my pollinator garden when it showed up several years ago, is beginning to bloom, such a wonderful scent when southern winds blow across my backyard.
So hereās to fall: leaves color, warm soups, hot stews, apple orchards, pumpkin farms, fresh baked apple pastries, hot apple cider/w hot apple spiced donuts, Halloween decorations and ghost stories, at least thatās autumn to me, so peeps what are your Autumn favorites?
