LTEs [1]

My most recent LTE was to The Washington Post on Wednesday. It was about the 3rd anniversary of the high tide of Russian occupation of Ukraine.
I’ve seen comments that a LTE which is not printed is useless. On the contrary, most papers send those letters to an editor or reporter who has that “beat.” Most people who go into journalism do so from a desire to report accurately. Unless a side is “editorial policy.” the writer wants to deal with facts. That means that we should be careful to support our arguments with facts, but also that we should avoid language that will offend the writers.
If you have written a LTE on the invasion, mention it in a comment to this post. I am no longer restricting myself to posting on Monday.
