Help fixing a flat [1]

A tire on my car blew out on the highway last week. I pulled over and called a tow truck. Then I texted the 2 appointments I was trying to make and told them I wouldn’t be there.
I was a bit worried as I waited, wondering how much a tow truck cost. I had maybe $15 in my pocket and $61 in my bank account.
While I was waiting for the tow truck, a white pick-up truck pulled over in front of me and backed right up to my car. Guy jumped out and asked if I had a spare.
I told him I had a tow truck coming and he said he would have it changed before they got there. And he did! Said it’s what he does. He’s self-employed so can stop any time, I guess. He had a ton of tools in his car.
I asked if I could give him some money and he said I sure did not have to. I gave him $15 which was all I had on me. He gave me a fist bump. I really can’t believe that there are people who are so kind.
I wondered how I could pay it forward. Then realized I could help Virginia candidates in their election this year. I’m hoping you can too. Maybe not give them tow truck money, or heaven forbid, money for a new tire.
But I’m hoping you can match the $15 I gave my good Samaritan. So many of these candidates are out there doing the right thing, helping others while having bank accounts just like mine, empty. Let’s help change their luck!
