"Workers Over Billionaires" - Torrance, CA - Labor Day - Fighting the American Oligarchy [1]

A large, diverse crowd gathered at City Hall, Torrance, CA, on Labor Day last Monday to protest the billionaire takeover of even more of the levers of power of our government and economy.
"Workers Over Billionaires" was the theme and hashtag for this and hundreds of similar events, large and small, across the country.
Billionaires feel that ordinary people lack empathy for them. Commoners don't realize the horror of high taxes and regulation of business. Little people fret and fuss about their little problems -- don't they realize that high taxes are a form of slavery?
Turnout did not match that of the big "No Kings" event of last June, but that wasn't expected. And while boomers are still overrepresented -- I'm sensing more younger people attending as their lives are more affected by the authoritarian transformation taking place.
Here in SoCal, ICE activity continues. ICE is clearly more interested in sending messages of intimidation rather than in meeting their deportation quotas.
If they need six to eight ICE agents to tackle and haul away a single car wash worker, well, do the math.
