You killed your dream, so we would not have ours [1]

The you in this entry refers to a certain type of people within a certain demographic, it is not about you personally.
While trying to stop us from making our dream into reality, you’ve only managed to kill yours in the process. See you were busy installing obstacles in our way, small ones, large ones, trying to block out path to our goal. The problem is, large obstacles? When we’re on the same damn path? Block the passage for everyone!
Irony is, you had your dream for a brief instant in time. You had your picket fences, your 2.5 children, your cars and pets, but you saw us making headways towards ours, and you decided to double back and start adding more obstacles and now your picket fences are falling and your 2.5 children dwindling.
Instead of enjoying your lives and fulfilling your dreams, you kept worrying about how close we were to achieving ours. Why? No one told you, not to have sensible immigration. No one told you not to have as many children as you wanted. No one told you not to marry within your own kind. Your dwindling numbers were not our fault.
I keep returning to this topic, because I simply cannot wrap my mind around it. Not wanting fair wages, health care, child care or any social benefit, because others will also benefit. It’s like refusing to grow food so others won’t eat, but then you don’t eat either. Make it make sense! What did we ever do to you to warrant such hatred?
If anyone should have such hate, I would argue it should be us, but the irony is that we don’t. We want everyone to enjoy life, because we know if someone is happy and content, they will not hate. Well that’s what we thought, but then again here you are. You’d rather burn the whole country down with you and yours in it, than to have to share it with others, who simply look or think differently. And you don’t see yourselves as the problem.
You had your dream, or it was well within your reach, but you turned your back on it because others were getting closer to theirs too and you just could not have that. Why? What is the thought process here? You’ve destroyed the very values you claim to hold dear to, in order to what?
I know people think I talk too much about racial issues, but I have no choice really because I’m Black and my race is an issue in this world we live in. Because whether or not you want to admit it, the hate in these streets today? Did not sprout overnight, or 10 years ago, this full blown matured fermented hate has been stewing underground for generations.
