There's A Name For Them - Let's Use It! [1]

Today’s Republican Party has very little resemblance to the Republican Party that co-directed, along with the Democrats, the United States during the first seven decades of the 20th Century. It’s not even the same Party of the 80’s and 90’s, when it was beginning to devolve thanks in large part to self-serving deplorables like Rush Limbaugh and Newt Gingrich. It really began to fall apart and morph into a completely different element with the election of the Orange Cheeto in 2016, and it has now become the Party of Donald Trump.
The vast majority of the Republicans in Congress, the Supreme Court,Department of Justice, and the various newly appointed department heads can not, apparently, speak for themselves, or even hold an original idea. It seems that very few of those who call themselves Republicans are willing to truly live up to the principles of their party, and their very political existence is dependent upon the whimsy of the President.
The Cheeto Republicans will do nearly anything to gain Trump’s approval. They lie, support blatantly unconstitutional Executive Orders, stand by while helpless people starve and/or die, approve the nominations of laughably incompetent people, try to redistrict voting boundaries to block minorities, and go out of their way to feed Trump’s ego (re-naming the Kennedy Center!). You can add to the list as you wish.
In all fairness I suppose that there are probably a few Republicans who still have a bit of integrity, but they get lost in the orange fog.
I suggest that henceforth, we take it upon ourselves to call out the Republican Party for what it really is—the Toady Party. Instead of saying “the Republicans,” or “the idiots,” or “those A-holes,” say “the Toadies.”
The name refers to the noun “Toady,” or “A person who flatters or defers to others for self-serving reasons; a sycophant.”
The Toady Party mascot, of course, would be the Toad (see above). This would compare to the Democrat Donkey or the Republican Elephant.
With any luck these Toadies would embrace their identity and eventually break away from the Republican Party. The actual Republicans could start again, re-developing meaningful philosophies.
