While national headlines grab attention, one of the most important races in Virginia and the country is happening right now in the City of Chesapeake Virginia.
This November, the race for Sheriff in Chesapeake could determine whether the city becomes a model for community-first policing or a launchpad for the MAGA agenda.
The stakes couldn’t be higher.
Sheriff Dave Rosado, a 23-year veteran of the Chesapeake Sheriff’s Office, is running for re-election to keep our community safe, fair, and free from political interference. His opponent, backed by Donald Trump-aligned Republicans, has publicly embraced bringing ICE into Chesapeake threatening immigrant families and undermining trust in local law enforcement.
We cannot let that happen. And here’s the truth…Chesapeake is a turnout city!
Whichever party does a better job of getting their people out to the polls will decide the future of the Sheriff’s Office.
