I was all set to protest yesterday, even though I didn’t feel well when I went to bed Friday night. Yesterday morning I felt even worse but decided I’d get up and get dressed and see how it went.

It didn’t. I was so woozy I was afraid I was going to fall over, and my head was pounding while my nose ran like a faucet. I think it’s allergies, but I knew I couldn’t drive safely, let alone stand up for two hours.

I had a two-sided sign made and ready to go (below). I hope the turnout was huge and that the walls in the Oval Office are covered it ketchup.

I feel awful for having missed it, like I’ve let the team down.

I’m still sick, and now I feel guilty as well.
