When Guardrails Erode -- An Important New Tool [1]

Just Security, a policy group out of NYU, has created an important tool worth knowing about. Their When Guardrails Erode program is tracking the Trump Administration’s nefarious efforts to dismantle the institutions charged with protecting America’s democracy...they call it their Anti-Corruption Tracker.
You know the broad outlines of what’s happening, of course, some of it summarized in the above image. No more inspectors general, firing federal prosecutors who try to maintain independence, dismantling Freedom of Information access, disrupting — even eliminating — entire federal programs, and brow-beating universities, law firms, businesses into total capitulation.
But the Guardrails program digs even deeper. Did you know that Attorney General Pam Bondi recently fired the DOJ’s Director of its Ethics Office? Or that guidelines for complying with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act have been rewritten to be far less stringent? Or that...there’s lots more!
